All the trout in our dog food come from UK certified farms where quality assurance is high on the agenda. These trout are allowed more space in which to swim, they are fed with high-quality feed, and their waters are regularly monitored for high oxygen levels and water quality.
Trout offers many benefits to dogs, in that they are highly nutritious and very easy to digest. Quality farmed trout are high in Omega-3 fatty acids and also contain Omega-6. Trout can help to protect the heart and [against] various cancers in your dog. Trout is also rich in potassium, known to help reduce blood pressure. It is also rich in phosphorus, which contributes to the integrity of bones and teeth and helps in the digestive process. Trout also contains a full range of B vitamins: thiamin, niacin, B6, B12, and pantothenic acid - all playing major roles in the health of your pet. Trout is also high in selenium, which is good for brain function, the immune system, and fertility. Trout is also known to be low in contaminants such as mercury and PCBs.

Our trout dog food recipes are all cooked gently in our kitchen at a constant 82°C. This means that the proteins remain intact and the nutrients and vitamins retain their full potential, with plenty taste! Slow cooking allows all the ingredients to become bioavailable, meaning there will be less waste!
